My Background
Chris jordan
Having finished school at 16 with 8 GCSEs grade c and above, I literally had no idea what I wanted to do next. Having worked on farms from a young age, I was keen to get straight into something and found myself a job at Hill leigh joinery. I enjoyed working with my hands and had spent lots of time creating things as a hobby so it appealed to me.I picked up some great skills here in all aspects of window and door manufacture, but i wanted something more challenging. I looked and found a position as a timber engineer which involved the design and manufacture of roof trusses and this further added to my skill set and I was also able to learn about roofing and installation. I only stayed in this position for about a year as I had developed an interest in machinery and engines so I set about to move into horticultural engineering.

I began my new career with Brandon tool hire and really enjoyed the change, over 2 years I learnt many new skills but also developed a taste for sales and working more directly with customers. I looked for a new position in the same business and started working for a horticultural maintenance and sales company, I spent a further 2 years in this trade working my way up to assistant manager before a company takeover changed the situation.

Having an interest in how things work and skills with woodwork, joinery and sales i moved into a position in the fast growing conservatory trade as a solid wood conservatory designer, specialising in complicated roof designs, sadly within a few years this business declined with other cheaper products becoming widely available and I started tiling conservatory floors to boost my sales based income.

After a year or so I had so much tiling work I set out to do it alone, aged 22, and with a mortgage it was a big decision but proved to be a good one. I built a reputation for speed and quality and took on a couple of people, one of whom a plumber, so that we could get into full bathroom renovation as well. From here business was excellent, many happy customers and I really enjoyed working for myself we also fitted kitchens for a local kitchen and bathroom business.

I was offered a position with a local plumbing company and they made me an offer I couldn't refuse, I had recently become a father so it appealed to me with set hours and a decent wage, during my time with them I learnt everything I needed to become a confident plumber installing many heating systems and hot water systems along the way. Alongside this I was renovating my own property and developing other skills. Sadly, the business owner became very ill and made the tough decision to shut down the business, it was time to go out on my own again!

I had a lucky break and partnered up with a decorator with good contacts in the bath area, we, together as a team, did room preparation, property development, kitchen and bathroom installation, working alongside companies such as Bath kitchen company, ,Bathstore and to name just a few.

Customers saw my ability to solve problems and one repeat customer even challenged me to build a bespoke staircase which 2 architects had said wasn't possible. I did it and also built some custom storage units in on the way down!
After 9 years with Jon I wanted to be my own boss again. The companies I had developed good relationships with continued to support me and recommend my work so I was set.

My work over the above years has given me a wide knowledge and vast experience across all trades,I continue to produce high quality work with a team of great people I've met along the way,so rest assured you can rely on me and us as a company to assist you with your project and offer advice from years of experience
